The 2018 La Bienfaisance de Château Sanctus is absolutely delicious. Sweet floral notes, crushed berries and a touch of sweet oak give the 2018 its effusive, inviting personality. The finish narrows just a touch, so I would drink the 2018 before the fruit starts to fade.
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 La Bienfaisance needs a little coaxing to unlock powerful scents of plum preserves, Morello cherries and Black Forest cake, with an undercurrent of cedar chest, violets and clove oil, plus a waft of licorice. The medium to full-bodied palate is soft and juicy with tons of freshness and a long spicy finish. Give it 3-4 years for the oak to fully integrate and drink it over the next 15 years or more.
The 2018 La Bienfaisance de Château Sanctus is soft, fruity and absolutely delicious. Bright red raspberry, rose petal and spice notes wrap around the palate in a racy, inviting second wine that hits all the right notes. In 2018, La Bienfaisance is particularly strong. The blend is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.
