Approximately 80% Grenache Blanc, 15% Clairette and 5% Marsanne, the 2022 Fonsalette Cotes du Rhone Blanc was tasted from a small stainless-steel tank. Waxy and citrus-laden on the nose, it's full-bodied, round, rich and honeyed, with a slightly reductive hint of struck match and a long, intensely flavored finish. If it were up to me, I would drink this wine over the next several years, but it isn't up to me, and readers might note that the 2011 is the most recent vintage in the market. Reynaud marches to his own rhythm and no doubt knows his wines better than I do, so I've deliberately left the drinking window blank. Buy it when you're lucky enough to be offered some, and make up your own mind regarding its maturity then.
