Score 17/20 · Drink 2028-2037, Julia Harding MW, jancisrobinson.com, Feb 2024

Darker in colour than the premiers crus, and darker-fruited. Peppery black fruits, elegant and sober rather than charmingly seductive. This has more depth than the premiers crus but is still relatively light-bodied, with finely dry tannins. The grand-cru quality shows mostly in the greater persistence and the need for more time in the bottle. (JH)

Notes of cherries, plums and red fruit compote preface the 2022 Corton Grand Cru Grandes Lolières, a medium to full-bodied, concentrated and youthfully structured wine that's one of the more brooding, serious cuvées in this year's range.
