Tasting notes
The 2013 Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Etelois opens in the glass with a complex bouquet of Griotte cherries, cassis, citrus rind, warm spices and rich soil tones, framed by a deft application of cedary oak. Medium to full-bodied, bright and incisive, its deep core of vibrant fruit is girdled by racy acids and fine, powdery tannins. While this is already showing well, it's still young and will be even better with another five or six years of age.

About the producer

Domaine Duroché has, under Pierre Duroché, become one of the most sought-out and respected wine domaines in Gevrey-Chambertin. The wines are delicate and detailed, yet with old-vine intensity, a clear sense of place and style – and it’s easy to see why they’ve rapidly become so in-demand.
