Soaring from the glass with aromas of cherries, spices and berries, the 2018 Bourgogne Côte d'Or is medium to full-bodied, round and fleshy, with melting tannins and an enveloping core of fruit. This generous, front-loaded bottling is already drinking well.

Bottled – they felt the wines were ready and did not want to lose freshness. Mid crimson. Ripe but fresh dark-red fruit. Juicy, generous, mouth-filling fruit. Lots of fruity pleasure and deft, smooth tannins that are just slightly chewy on the finish. (JH)

The 2018 Bourgogne Côte d’Or comes from 0.19 hectares of 45-year-old vines. It offers abundant, quite precocious red cherry and crushed strawberry bouquet. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy red fruit. Quite sweet and slightly confit in style, with a brisk finish. Fine.
