The 2020 Bourgogne Rouge Cuvée de Pinson, which contains around 50% deselected fruit from Gevrey, offers raspberry and cranberry scents on the nose. Fine precision. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red fruit, taut and crisp with a dash of black pepper towards the finish. Impressive for a regional Burgundy.

The 2020 Bourgogne Rouge Cuvée du Pinson offers up aromas of cherries, raspberries and warm spices. Medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, it's one of the headier, more overtly ripe wines in the range. As ever, it includes a considerable proportion of young-vine fruit from grander appellations.
About the producer
Domaine Ponsot is one of the most well-known estates in the Côte de Nuits, famed for owning three of the original four hectares of the Clos de la Roche Grand Cru. The legendary domaine also produces another nine Grand Cru cuvées.
