The 2020 Bellegrave is well-defined and poised on the nose, blackberry and briary, hints of truffle unfolding with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a graphite-infused entry. Quite solid and structured, almost like a "mini-Lafleur", with a well-defined and persistent finish that has splendid mineralité . Very fine.

The 2020 Bellegrave is a rich, heady Pomerol. Inky dark fruit, chocolate, sweet spice, menthol and licorice build in a creamy, resonant Pomerol that offers tons of immediacy and overall appeal. This powerful, forward Pomerol is quite alluring.

Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2020 Bellegrave (Pomerol) is a little closed and broody to begin, giving way to notes of preserved plums, sautéed herbs and woodsmoke, with wafts of Morello cherries and fragrant earth. The medium-bodied palate is elegantly styled and refreshing, offering a soft texture and savory-laced finish.

The 2020 Bellegrave has an intense nose of gravel-tinged black fruit that is almost Médoc-like in style rather than Pomerol; complex and engaging. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins and good weight. Ripe and generous though with firm backbone, and lightly spiced on the finish. This is another fine offering from Jean-Marie Bouldy and it should give 15–20 years of drinking pleasure.
