The 2019 Santenay Les Gravières 1er Cru comes from vines around 70-years old planted on three types of limestone soils. The wine has a mineral-rich bouquet with vivacious red berry fruit, developing a light iodine and later, marine-influenced aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red berry fruit and fine grip. One of Vincent’s more structured cuvées and probably the best for cellaring. Wonderful chalky-textured finish and saline aftertaste - superb.

Scents of peach, pear, nutmeg, freshly baked bread and white flowers introduce the 2019 Santenay 1er Cru Les Gravières, a medium to full-bodied, layered and multidimensional wine with terrific concentration, racy acids and a long, mineral finish. Produced from high-density plantings, the 2019 is the best young Gravières I've ever tasted at this address.
