Score 86-88/100 · Drink 2023-2032, Neal Martin, Dec 2020

The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Craipillot 1er Cru includes 30% whole bunch and is matured in 50–60% new oak. It has a well-defined, quite floral bouquet, mainly red fruit with a light ash-like aroma developing with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, moderate depth and a sweet, slightly chocolaty finish that feels weighed down by the new oak at the moment.
