The 2021 Clos de Guichaux is sourced from vines planted in 2003 on shallow soil over limestone. It's an oaked, nutty, savory style with a real sense of precision and verve. Focused, taut yet with tenderness on the light-bodied mid-palate, finishing with a chalky texture. Smart stuff with energy and tension. It is good now but will be better with more time in bottle.
