Tasting notes
Tasted blind. Hardly any nose. Very pinched fruit. Is this simply too young? Aggressively astringent. (JR)

From the famous Professor Denis Dubourdieu, this richly fruity, exuberant wine is very pure and shows lots of black cherry and blackcurrant fruit, a touch of smoke and earth, and a lush, heavy, velvety textured finish. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. A sleeper of the vintage.
Very pale. Quite a light, muted nose. Clean and well behaved but much less dramatic than the Ch d'Arsac 2013 I have just tasted. Grassy and quite broad and loose. A little astringent. Hint of oiliness. But impressive depth and underlying richness. (JR)
Very rich nose. So rich you are left wondering whether this a dry or a sweet wine. In fact it turns out to be a very delightful rich dry wine with fantastic tension. Just the sort I like! Smoky. (JR)
