Score 91/100 · Drink 2020-2030, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Jul 2019

Aromas of peonies, dried flowers, raspberries and Griotte cherries preface the 2017 Mercurey Chapitre, a medium to full-bodied, wine that's racier and chalkier than the fleshy Vieilles Vignes bottling and is built around a bright spine of acidity and a chassis of powdery tannin. It derives from a chalkier parcel and was also vinified with 50% whole cluster.
