Score 85-87/100 · Drink 2020-2025, Neal Martin, Jan 2020
The 2018 Bourgogne Rouge offers gentle aromas of blackberry and raspberry fruit laced with pressed roses. The palate is well balanced, with a sweet, candied opening, the 15% new oak nicely integrated, and a simple, ripe finish. Fine.

Aromas of cherries, berries, dark chocolate and sweet soil tones introduce the 2018 Bourgogne Pinot Noir, a medium to full-bodied, supple and succulent wine with a fragrant core of juicy fruit that entirely cloaks its melting tannins.

Blend of casks from Gevrey. Pressonnier and Grands Champs. Pure dark fruit. Juicy, almost savoury and still has lovely freshness. Dark, fresh fruit, ripe tannins. And a savoury, spicy finish. (JH)
