2015 Marsannay Les Sampagny

(these vines are 36 years of age): Bright, dark red. Reticent aromas of brambly blackberry, dark cherry and espresso. Offers decent texture but limited sweetness, with its medicinal black cherry and fresh herb flavors coming across as quite tight, even tough, in the early going. Vincent Lécheneaut did not do any punchdowns here, as this wine "is always a powerful style."
