Tasting notes
The 2018 Corton Perrieres Grand Cru is gorgeous as well, with a medium to full-bodied, rich, layered style that carries lots of assorted dark berry and mulberry-like fruits as well as forest floor, roasted herbs, and graphite. I love its mid-palate, the tannins are polished and integrated, the balance is spot on, and it's going to evolve for 20 years or more.

The 2018 Corton-Perrières Grand Cru has turned out especially well, unfurling in the glass with notes of sweet berries, dark chocolate, coniferous forest floor and petals. Medium to full-bodied, layered and muscular, with fine concentration, refined tannins and lively acids, it's long and mineral.
The 2018 Corton Perrières Grand Cru has a compact bouquet with earthy black fruit, Indian ink, touches of seaweed emerging with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, quite saline in the mouth with a conservative, marine-influenced finish that simply needs more Pinoté. I find this a bit stilted overall. - Neal Martin
