Sourced in Westhofen and a small plot in Hangen-Weisheim above the Morstein, which ripeness later and delivers higher acidity, the 2022 Riesling trocken Estate was mostly fermented in large oak vats and partly in stainless steel. Bottled in April this year, this is a stringent, saline and crispy as well grippy dry Riesling with delicate juiciness and stimulating purity that delivers salinity and tension. It's a fabulous Riesling bottled with just 12% stated alcohol and a screw-cap closure. Tasted at the domaine in July 2023.

What a beauty this is for - theoretically - an entry level wine! Such an original nose in which ripe quince and mirabelle are married to bergamot and delicate baking spice aromas. So much structure on the concentrated medium-bodied palate. Very long, powerful finish that’s so spicy and chalky. From biodynamically grown grapes with Respekt certification. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
