Tasting notes
Aromas of crisp green pear, clear honey, citrus oil, oatmeal and struck match introduce Ente's 2017 Meursault 1er Cru Les Gouttes d'Or, a full-bodied, deep and textural wine that's concentrated and complete while remaining racy and incisive. Tasted from bottle, this confirms its super showing last year and will be well worth seeking out.

Sweet spot Outstanding. An expressive and ripe nose offers up the essence of white-fleshed fruit and citrus aromas that are trimmed in hints of wood and smoke. As is virtually always the case, there is a bit more size, weight and mid-palate density to the broad-shouldered and exceptionally rich flavors that are at once powerful yet refined, all wrapped in a sappy, tension-filled and impressively complex and lingering finish. This harmonious effort should also age effortlessly.
