Score 88-90/100 · Drink 2024-2033, Neal Martin, Jan 2023
The 2021 Vosne-Romanée Les Chaumes 1er Cru seems a little oaky on the nose, which is occluding the terroir compared to others tasted on my travels. The palate is medium-bodied with strict tannins, black rather than red fruit with a slightly toasty finish. This feels a bit short overall.
