Lots of mineral stuff on the nose. Then rich fruit on the front palate. Lime and tension. Should get there in the end. (JR)

The 2014 Chassagne-Montrachet 1Er Cru les Champs Gain has a little more precision on the nose compared to the Chevevottes, with a hint of star anise in the background and lending a touch of exoticism. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry with lemon zest and orange zest notes, a fine line of acidity and a gentle build towards a satisfying and harmonious finish.
