Score 87-89/100 · Drink 2020-2030, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2017
The 2016 Gevrey-Chambertin la Justice was only slightly touched by frost. With 20% whole-bunch fruit and 30% new oak, I feel that the latter is quite vocal on the nose at the moment, suggesting that it will require a couple of years to be subsumed. The palate is soft and rounded on the entry and then those chalky tannins kick in. It feels quite compact and there is some angularity toward the finish. Not a bad la Justice, but I think here that the 2015 is the better wine.
