(12% potential alcohol, chaptalized to 13.3%): Pale, bright yellow with green highlights. Complex aromas of lime, white peach, minerals and sweet oak accented by a minty nuance. Dense and thick but vibrant, with pineapple and dusty spice flavors lifted by mint and fresh herbs; perhaps atypically cool in style for this cuvée despite showing a lightly candied quality, but long on the aftertaste. A touch disjointed today and tricky to assess. Morey told me he was the first to harvest in Batard-Montrachet in 2014 as he wanted to avoid getting overconcentrated fruit and high alcohol. He also noted that he may not bottle his 2014 crus until next March.
