Score 85/100 · Drink 2017-2022, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Mar 2017

Tasted blind at Flint Wines’ 2007/2012 Nuits Saint-Georges tasting in London. The 2012 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Champs Perdrix from Alain Michelot has a slightly volatile bouquet, displaying a slight acetic edge. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, darker fruit than its peers, although it feels a little austere towards the finish and needs more flesh to come through. Tasted November 2016.

Tasted blind. Exceptionally dark crimson. Relatively light nose with indistinct and slightly raw red fruits on the palate. Far from graceful with some grainy tannins on the end. Bit of a bruiser. Not for me. Fast fade. (JR)
