Score 92/100 · Drink 2014-2024, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Oct 2014

The 2009 Clos de la Marchale Blanc from J-F Mugnier is drinking beautifully at the moment. There is a very pleasant reduction on the nose that might err you toward Coche-Dury (as it did myself since I drank this blind). The palate is well-defined with crisp acidity and tension, good depth and a sophisticated walnut-tinged finish that is an absolute delight. Drink this now or it will keep over the next decade.
