The 2020 Chianti Classico is plump, juicy and absolutely delicious. Soft contours wrap around succulent dark cherry, plum, licorice, mocha, spice and new leather. This forward, open-knit Chianti Classico is not terribly complex, but it sure is delicious.

Greve in Chianti. 100% Sangiovese. Deep ruby. At first a little stalky and reductive on the nose and this certainly needs decanting, but with aeration it becomes more and more perfumed. Voluptuous, ripe cherry fruit cut through by vibrant acidity. Energetic and concentrated at the same time. (WS)
