From a 1.55-ha (3.8-acre) monopole vineyard at the bottom of the slope on clay-limestone soils. Mid-pale cherry. Very floral, with roses and peony. Soft tannins, very refined and elegant. Very 2021. (MH)

Cask sample. Sweet and worked. Fine for early drinking but not the freshest. (JR)

The 2021 Côte de Nuits Village Clos du Chapeau was taken from tank and showed a slight reduction on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with mulberry and raspberry fruit, lightly spiced with just a very slight flatness on the finish. I will defer judgement for now.
