Crushed citrus, mint flowers, and hints of spicy wood all emerge from the 2023 Château Olivier Blanc, a juicy, elegant, medium-bodied white that shines for its purity and freshness, as well as its length. It's easily an outstanding white in the making.

The white 2023 Olivier slips easily out of the glass with ready-to-go notes of juicy apples, fresh peaches, and lime leaves, followed by hints of honeysuckle and allspice. Medium-bodied, the palate is light on its feet and lively, with just enough intensity to sustain the zesty finish.
Very fresh and focused with beautiful, bright fruit, as well as a fresh, floral perfume and a mineral undertone. It’s medium-bodied with super-tense acidity that adds verticality and length. Polished and textural on the mid-palate with a lingering finish.
The 2023 Olivier Blanc has an attractive bouquet—one of the best I have encountered from this estate in recent years. It flaunts engaging green apple, Anjou pear and grass clipping scents. There is real energy and class here. The palate is well balanced with a finely tuned, slightly peachy entry. Lively and fresh, with a touch of lemon sherbet on the finish, it doesn't quite have the complexity of say, the La Louvière or Smith Haut-Lafitte Blanc, but it's difficult not to love.
About the producer

Ch. Olivier is one of the few actual castles in Bordeaux – coming with a moat and drawbridge. Since Alexandre de Bethmann took over here in 2012, the château has been given a new lease of life, with quality on the rise.
