Tasting notes
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2023 Moulin de la Rose slowly unfurls to reveal scents of rose oil, kirsch, and redcurrant jelly with hints of bay leaf and wet slate. The medium-bodied palate is refreshing and bright, with soft tannins and a savory finish.

A medium-bodied red with redcurrant and berry character, firm tannins and a medium finish.
The 2023 Moulin de la Rose has a pleasant blackberry and wild strawberry nose with a touch of pressed flowers, though it feels a bit conservative compared to its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with sapid black fruit and a bit of chewiness in the mouth, yet there is satisfying precision on the finish. Not bad: it should improve in barrel.
Enticing and well constructed, plenty of rich dark spices, fine tannic architecture, Cabernet-dominant in character with tomato leaf, savoury cassis, this is good quality with appellation signature. 30% new oak for ageing, Jean-François Delon owner.
