Tasting notes
Spicy red and black fruits, new leather, flowers, and some tobacco notes all define the 2023 Château La Tour Carnet, a pure, medium-bodied, nicely balanced 2023 that has plenty of mid-palate depth, ripe, polished tannins, juicy acidity, and a great finish. It's another beautiful wine under the Magrez umbrella that has tons of fruit as well as character.

Flowers, tobacco and red fruits define the core of this wine on the nose, and on the palate. Medium-boded, with more freshness than in previous vintages, the wine ends with a complicating nuance of citrus in the finish that I really like. You can enjoy this in its youth. The wine blends 75% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petit Verdot, and 1% Cabernet Franc.
La Tour Carnet 2023 is deep garnet-purple in color. It offers faint notes of prunes and baked blackberries, with underlying wafts of bay leaves, tobacco, and graphite. Medium-bodied, the palate is lean and tart, with chewy tannins and a slightly grubby finish.
A structured La Tour Carnet with dark currant, bark and wet earth. Medium to full body. Should develop nicely.
