Score 90/100 · Drink 2027-2035, Jeb Dunnuck, Mar 2026

Beautiful red, blue, and black fruits intermixed with graphite, violets, and hints of chalk emerge from the 2023 Pierre Taix La Mauriane, a medium-bodied Puisseguin Saint-Emilion that has a pure, graceful mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a good finish. Based on 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc and aged 18 months in 500-liter barrels, it should benefit from a year or two of bottle age and keep for a decade. There are roughly 2,917 cases produced. Drink 2027-2035.
