Tasting notes
Lots of ripe red and black fruits, leather, graphite, and sappy, floral nuances define the 2023 Château La Fleur De Boüard, a medium-bodied beauty from this estate. Based on 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged 12 months in 50% new French oak with the balance in one-year-old barrels, it has a pure, focused, elegant mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and nicely integrated acidity. It shows the more finesse-driven style of this property today and is beautifully done. There are roughly 13,300 cases produced. Drink bottles any time over the coming 15 years. Drink 2026-2041.

The 2023 La Fleur de Boüard is silky, elegant and exceptionally polished. Crushed red raspberry, rose petal, mint, cinnamon and blood orange all race across the palate. This mid-weight, classy red is an absolute delight. Floral top notes lift the close.
A juicy and expressive red with aromas of spiced berries, cherries and touches of hazelnuts and minerals. Medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins and a long, juicy finish. Well made and balanced. Drink now or hold.
Flowers, cherries, licorice, smoke, and cocoa create the perfume. On the palate, the wine is soft, silky, fresh, medium-bodied, round, and creamy, finishing with plums, cherries, in early-drinking approach. The wine is a blend of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
