Tasting notes
The Merlot-dominated 2023 Château Gracia is deep purple-hued and has a powerful bouquet of ripe red and black fruits, spicy oak, lead pencil, leather, and chalky minerality. This carries to a medium to full-bodied, gorgeously textured 2023 with incredible purity, ultra-fine yet building tannins, and a stunning, layered finish. It's a riveting Saint-Emilion in the making, and this estate deserves more attention in the market today.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2023 Gracia hits the ground running with vibrant notes of kirsch, mulberries, and wild blueberries leading to wafts of lilacs and fragrant soil. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers a velvety texture with compelling tension and bags of expressive fruit, finishing long and earthy.
A firm and structured red with plenty of fruit on the palate. Juicy and succulent with medium body and velvety tannins. It expands nicely on the finish.
The 2023 Gracia has a well-defined bouquet with lifted brambly red fruit, perhaps lacking a bit of complexity and vigor. The palate is medium-bodied with a strange metallic note on the entry that masks the fruit underneath. Drying tannins mark the finish. I have enjoyed some vintages of Gracia in the past, but this feels discombobulated by the season.
