Sporting a medium gold hue, the 2023 Château Doisy-Vedrines offers classic aromatics of caramelized orange, spicy wood, buttered toast, and mint. It's beautiful on the palate as well, with medium-bodied richness, a pure, layered mouthfeel, nicely integrated acidity, and a great finish. It's rock solid and clearly outstanding. I like it today, yet it should keep nicely for 20-30 years. Drink 2026-2056.

One of my favorites of the vintage, the 2023 Doisy-Vedrines is superb, revealing a lively, complex and perfumed bouquet of pineapple, orange zest, spices, honey and ripe orchard fruits, accented by subtle minty nuances. Medium- to full-bodied, generous and enveloping, it remains vibrant and tensile, structured by refined gastronomic bitterness and concluding with a long, ethereal finish that is distinctly Barsac in character. Containing 150 grams per liter of residual sugar, the blend comprises 90% Sémillon and 10% Sauvignon Blanc.

Spiced stone fruits, caramelized orange, and some spicy wood notes all emerge from the 2023 Château Doisy-Védrines, a rich, full-bodied, powerful effort that has serious sweetness and opulence while holding everything together with good acidity.
