Tasting notes
A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the 2023 Château Corbin sports a vivid ruby/plum hue as well as clean, lively aromatics of red and black berries, spring flowers, graphite, and spicy wood. Beautiful on the palate as well, with medium to full-bodied richness, a pure, focused, layered mouthfeel, polished tannins, and a great finish, it's all about finesse and elegance, as well as complexity, and is going to evolve nicely for two decades or more. Drink 2026-2048.

The 2023 Corbin is supremely elegant and classy. Fine, silky tannins and lifted aromatics make a strong first impression. Everything here speaks to nuance. Crushed flowers, vibrant red cherry fruit, mint, white pepper and cedar all take shape in the glass. Corbin is not an obvious wine, but it is quite striking.
The 2023 Corbin has a tightly wound bouquet that just needs time to open, brambly red fruit mixed with licorice and gravelly aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with a slightly cloying entry, lower acidity than I would have liked, with a sweet, brown sugar-tinged finish.
The 2023 Château Corbin should be outstanding, offering a solid perfume of red, black, and blue fruits as well as a spicy, floral edge. It's medium-bodied, has a pretty, elegant mouthfeel, fine yet firmer tannins, and a beautiful finish. Give it a few years.
