Tasting notes
The 2023 Clos Haut-Peyraguey, which was picked over three tries and employed cigar-shaped barrels for the first time. It has a very pure bouquet, with honey, quince, patisserie and almond scents that are well-defined. The palate is well balanced with a viscous texture, fine acidity, notes of honey, orange pith and light ginger notes. A lovely Sauternes.

Aromas of dried mushrooms, dried apricots, honey and touches of white pepper and subtle herbs. This has imposing sweetness, a medium to full body and brightness that helps it carry through. Voluminous but balanced. 80% semillon and 20% sauvignon blanc. From 40-year-old vines. Drink or hold.
Lots of spicy orange, candied ginger, brioche, and sweet peach notes emerge from the 2023 Clos Haut-Peyraguey, a medium to full-bodied, balanced, elegant Sauternes that has lots of upfront charm and balance. It's not the most powerful or over the top wine in the vintage and shines for its overall balance and purity. It's a beautiful, classy Sauternes that will drink nicely right out of the gate.
Caramel, brown sugar, roasted pineapples, vanilla, toasted orange peels, spice, candied oranges and apricots combine and make it happen in the nose, and palate. work together to create the attention seeking perfume. What's not to like? It is unctuous, spicy, racy, lush, ripe, and sweet On the palate, the wine is viscous, sweet, and intense. You find a wealth of honey-coated pineapples, apricots, mangos, marzipan, vanilla, and spice that are as creamy, and unctuous, as they are fresh, and vibrant. The wine blends 80% Semillon with 20% Sauvignon Blanc.
