Tasting notes
Flowers, green apples, white peach, grapefruit, and spice fill the perfume. The wine is fresh, crisp, refreshing and juicy. You can enjoy this as soon as it hits the stores. The wine blends 57% Semillon, 30% Sauvignon Blanc, and 13% Sauvignon Gris.

The 2023 Lions de Suduiraut Blanc Sec has a crisp, light grass clipping nose with touches of green apple and Anjou pear. The palate is bright and fresh with a silver bead of acidity, the Sauvignon Blanc more expressive despite comprising just 30% of this blend. This just needs fresh oysters!
Just bottled, the 2023 Lions de Suduiraut Blanc Sec is superb. It offers a bit more mid-palate creaminess than most years but also retains terrific freshness and energy. Lemon confit, tangerine peel, passion fruit, jasmine and crushed rocks all race across the palate. The 2023 has the most Sémillon ever here—an inspired choice, to be sure, yielding an especially versatile dry white. I would be thrilled to have a case at the house.
