Good deep red. Deep cherry, smoke, leather and earth on the nose. More shapely and structured than the village wine, with sweeter, more vibrant fruit. Still in a rather dry style, though, finishing with substantial tannins.

Medium ruby. Dark berry compote, violet and licorice on the nose, with hints of tar and chocolate. Solid, broad and sweet but a bit youthfully tough and not yet harmonious. This will need three or four years in bottle to resolve its tannins.
