Tasting notes
The 2019 Chardonnay B.A. Thieriot Vineyard comes from vines planted in Goldridge loam in 1996 at 1,200 feet elevation. It has detailed, layered aromas of jasmine, quince, dried tarragon, chamomile, beeswax and candle smoke, picking up more nuance as it airs in the glass. The medium-bodied palate is satiny and intense, beginning with bright citrus and stone that segue to honeyed tones, and it finishes with tremendous length. 220 cases were made.

The 2019 Chardonnay Thieriot Vineyard stands apart from the other Chardonnays in this range for its bright, crystalline personality. Crushed rocks, white pepper, slate, pear and lemon peel all grace this absolutely exquisite Chardonnay from Littorai. There is a feeling of transparency here that is so utterly beguiling.
About the producer

Littorai stands as one of California’s most quietly influential estates, defined by organic and biodynamic farming, site transparency, and a restrained, Burgundian sensibility.
