Score 94/100 · Drink 2023-2040, Neal Martin, Jan 2020

The 2018 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has a very classy, quite understated bouquet, especially considering the vintage, with fleeting scents of orange blossom, crushed flint and a touch of flaked almonds. The palate is well balanced with intense citrus fruit, orange zest and peach all laced with lemongrass and white pepper. This fans out beautifully towards the finish, completing a superb Bâtard-Montrachet from Jean-Marc Boillot.
