Tasting notes
I am surprised at how quickly this seems to have developed, though Faure did not comment on this and neither did anyone else tasting at the time. Still some red fruit at the core but it is much more tertiary than I’d expect of a wine this age. The nose has a spicy sour-plum character and although the tannins are fine and dry, the flavours have lost their fruity vibrancy, a bit leathery. (JH)

The 2015 Nuits St. Georges Les Herbues shows a decidedly delicate side of Nuits. Floral and savory influences from the whole cluster fermentation mark the wine to a considerable degree. Like all of these wines, the Herbues is gracious and lifted in style, with compelling purity in its fruit and impeccable balance.
The 2015 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Herbues has an open-knit bouquet with raspberry and wild strawberry scents. This is very pure and well defined. The palate is neatly balanced with crunchy red fruit and a dash of white pepper, turning slightly ferrous towards the finish that has just the right amount of bitterness. This has aged well.
