Tasting notes
The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Pruliers 1er Cru has an elegant bouquet of pure black cherries, bergamot, bay leaf and crushed stone aromas that gradually unfurl in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and a fine bead of acidity. Very cohesive, with a slightly confit-like, persistent finish. Louis Boillot mentioned that this was his favorite in 2017, and I can easily see why.

The 2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Pruliers displays notes of cassis, wild plums, raspberries and grilled meats, followed by a medium to full-bodied, deep and fleshy wine that's richly layered and nicely concentrated, with juicy balancing acids. It was the least advanced wine in the cellar when I tasted it and will demand some patience.
