Aromas of black cherries, lavender and blue slate follow through to a full body, firm and fine tannins and a beautiful finish. Linear and bright. Wow! Drink now.

His grandfather’s vines. Three parcels: two on pink sand/granite and one on manganese-rich granite. Semi-carbonic maceration, fermented in foudres, manual pigeage. Time on stems reduces the alcohol a little (useful in 2018). Gorgeous and more like Pinot in its delicacy. Dark fruit but also a juicy sweetness at the heart. Fine and juicy and full of fruit. Pure and intense on the nose with tension and extreme freshness on the palate. Very fine texture and lovely dry, dark finish. Rich and elegant. (JH)
