Tasting notes
Coming from the A1 Block (planted in 1990) in this iconic vineyard and aged 22 months in new barrels, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard is a bigger, riper wine compared to the Georges III release and is absolutely loaded with black and blue fruits, chocolate, gravelly earth, tobacco, and sweet spices. Full-bodied, concentrated, and incredibly expansive, this ripe, sexy beast will scratch any itch you might have for a powerful Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. It will evolve for two decades.

Much like the Georges III, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon looks even better after bottling. Stunning notes of licorice and florals join black cherries and cassis underscored by loamy earth. It's full-bodied, rich and tannic but also wonderfully ripe and long. The fruit comes from the old-vine section of block 1 planted to clone 4. 105 cases produced.
