Vines planted in 1937 on shallow soils. Cask sample. Mid-pale ruby. Red fruits, nice freshness. Elegant but without great richness on the palate. (MH)

The 2021 Côte de Nuits Les Leury has a light floral bouquet with rose petal and red cherry fruit, more strawberry emerging with time. There is a bit of warmth unusual in this vintage (13.8% alcohol). The palate is medium-bodied with saturated tannins, certainly a richer style of 2021 with a plush candied finish.
