The 2021 Riesling leads with salted lime, green apple skins, preserved citrus and cheesecloth. The palate is rich and fleshy, with a fine spool of acid that weaves the fruit and phenolics together as one. This textural wine has a long future in front of it. 13% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

Full bottle (not screwcapped!) 1,294 g. Grapes grown on a leased block on the Martinborough Terraces. RS 5.8 g/l. 6,629 bottles produced. Decidedly herbal nose reminds me of Great Southern Rieslings. Very fine acidity and purity of flavour with good fruit/acid balance. Tastes bones dry. Very refreshing but certainly not opulent! Bracing at this stage in its life but I would expect it to age well. Unsweetened lime-juice impact at the moment. (JR)
