Score 90/100 · Drink 2017-2026, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Mar 2016

The 2014 Pommard 1er Cru Les Charponnières, a 0.6-hectare holding, has more red fruit on the nose compared to the Pommard Les Perrières, wild strawberry and raspberry preserve, quite expressive with subtle sous-bois scents. The palate is medium-bodied with brisk red berry fruit on the entry. Saline in the mouth, masculine perhaps but with ample red fruit on the citric finish, this is a well-crafted Pommard that should give much pleasure over the next decade.
