Has a lot more weight than the Hautes-Côtes. Distinctly chunky and chewy. But there is a lovely purity to the fruit here. Dark-berry and cherry in character. Fine line of acidity keeps everything in check. Tannins are a bit more to the fore – typical of Fixin. But there is no hurry to drink this. Will be even more delicious in a couple of years. GV (AWH)

Already bottled, the 2022 Fixin Village delivers notes of smoky berries, petals and plums, followed by a medium-bodied, supple and suave palate that's seamless, lively and charming. This will drink well with minimal bottle age.
