The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru is a blend dominated by Les Plantes and Combottes. Wafting from the glass with scents of raspberries, rose petals, sweet spices and cherries, it's medium to full-bodied, pure and seamless, with a layered core of fruit and a fine-boned, mineral profile.
Blend of same six premiers crus each year (seven when Les Baudes is included in the blend, but that will be bottled separately in 2022). Barrel-aged wine blended in tank. Tank sample. Bright crimson. Rather smudgy and indistinct on the nose. But very fancy and appealing and deep-flavoured on the palate. Velvety texture. (JR)
