Tasting notes
Les Gruenchers is in the north of Chambolle-Musigny and Fourrier farms 0.29 hectares of the Premier Cru. It’s a deliciously sweet and bright wine in 2022. This is not the most dainty and floral Chambolle, but a firmer style that nevertheless comes with Fourrier’s trademark finesse. Muddled raspberries mingle with crushed chalk on the nose, the fruit developing darker tones on the palate. There’s a ripe core, pulled back from the verge of being overly sweet by that line of minerality that drives onto the finish.

More elegant and spicier aromas include those of poached plum, exotic tea, sandalwood and violet. The sleek, delicious and punchy medium weight flavors exude a subtle minerality on the equally austere and noticeably more structured and complex finale. This is lovely and should age gracefully over the next decade. Oustanding. Drink 2030+
One of the more overtly sun-kissed wines in the range is the 2022 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Gruenchers, a medium to full-bodied, ample and demonstrative wine redolent of raspberry preserve, cherries and strawberries.
Rich bright mid purple. The nose is stunning, with an energy over and above the others. There is a freshness and a crunchy texture behind the fully ripe black cherry fruit, and good acidity. Very good length here. Immaculate.
