Tasting notes
Score 90-92/100 · Drink 2024-2044, Neal Martin, Dec 2021

Containing 60% whole cluster, the 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Croix des Champs has a mixture of red and black fruit, very well defined, sous-bois notes emerging with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, pretty and quite elegance with a prickle of spice not too distant from Shezchuan pepper on the finish. This will be difficult to resist in its youth.
