Tasting notes
Cask sample. Light to mid cherry red. The fruit smells a little riper here than on the Vosne – even a touch of dried cherry as well as fresh fruit. Firm and savoury on the palate. Compact and dense but without heaviness – just intense fruit, as if the berries had been very concentrated but lightly handled. (JH)

The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Les Feusselottes 1er Cru had the highest yield this vintage, cropped at 37hL/ha. It has quite a bold but exquisitely defined bouquet with plush dark cherries, bergamot and hints of bay leaf. The palate is beautifully focused with a wonderful sappiness, perfectly balanced with a slightly candied finish. Completely seductive.
The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes is unusual in that it was cropped at comparatively normal yields. Wafting from the glass with aromas of raspberries and cherries mingled with hints of peony and spices, it's medium-bodied, supple and seamless, with melting tannins, lively acids and a saline finish.
